Spacious loft conversion with zinc cladding and rooflights

This family was looking for more space, but with no desire to move, the only way was up. Our friends at Green Tea Architects designed a spacious high-ceilinged loft extension then BDL Blackheath worked closely with the homeowner throughout the construction process to make it a reality.  A simple palette of white, grey and light oak inside was carried right through, unifying the new rooms with the old.

Extensive steelwork enabled an additional floor to be added to this first floor flat in a late Victorian terrace. The flat roofed extension was studded with rooflights and its walls clad with zinc.
